{{#electioninfobox:37}} New Hampshire held a governor (then called president) election on March 11, 1788. The candidates in this election were John Langdon and John Sullivan, alongside a dozen minor candidates.
Former governor John Langdon, who had come in first place in the popular vote in the previous election, defeated incumbent governor John Sullivan by a margin of 757 votes (8.83%). As such, this election was an Anti-Federalist gain. Langdon was sworn in as governor on June 6, 1788.[1]
